On behalf of the editorial board of Research and Innovation in Applied Linguistics (RIAL), we are pleased to present Volume 4, Issue 1 (February 2026), featuring eleven articles that showcase innovative developments in applied linguistics. This issue highlights AI-assisted and technology-enhanced writing instruction, digital learning practices, cognitive and motivational dimensions of language education, and ESP integration with industry contexts. Collectively, the contributions reflect theoretically grounded and pedagogically relevant research addressing the evolving demands of EFL education in digital and professional landscapes.
