Advertising Policy

Editorial Independence
Advertising and commercially sponsored content are entirely separate from editorial decisions. INTEK Journal does not endorse any advertised product or service. Editorial content is never influenced by commercial or financial relationships with advertisers or sponsors.

Right to Refuse Advertising
INTEK Journal may decline, withdraw, or require modifications to any advertisement at its sole discretion—especially if the advertisement conflicts with the journal’s mission, harms the journal’s reputation, or is unsuitable for our audience or platform.

Health and Safety
Advertisements for products or services that are illegal, hazardous, or harmful to health will not be accepted.

Accuracy, Transparency, and Standards

  • Ads must be truthful, not misleading, and substantiated.
  • Each ad must clearly identify the advertiser and the product or service offered.
  • Overstated, sensational, or exaggerated claims are not permitted.
  • Ads that are indecent, offensive, or discriminatory— including content targeting or denigrating individuals or groups on the basis of personal, racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual orientation—are prohibited.

Clear Separation from Editorial Content
Advertising must be readily distinguishable from editorial content at all times. INTEK Journal does not publish “advertorial” material. Sponsored supplements must be clearly labeled as such; if a supplement did not undergo the journal’s standard peer review—or followed a different process—this must be explicitly disclosed.

Placement, Removal, and Search Integrity

  • Once posted, an advertisement may be removed from the site at any time at the request of the Editors or Publisher.
  • Editorial choices are not influenced by current or potential advertisers or sponsors and are independent of marketing considerations.
  • Advertisers and sponsors have no control over site search results or how content is indexed or displayed.

Non-standard Placements
Requests for placements outside the journal’s standard advertising positions must be submitted to the editorial office. A definitive response will be provided within three (3) business days.

Complaints and Enforcement
Information on how to submit complaints about advertising—and any resulting actions—will be provided on the journal’s advertising page. INTEK Journal reserves the right to enforce this policy, including rejecting or removing ads that fail to comply.
