Abstract

Electricity is a primary necessity for society. With the advancement of technology, it is essential to improve the electrical system to support the existing infrastructure. The purpose of this research is to evaluate voltage profiles under 80% and 100% loading conditions. The method used in the analysis process for this research is Binary Particle Swarm Optimization by reconfiguring the network. Based on the research results, it is shown that under 80% loading conditions, the voltage profile before reconfiguration is 0.91789 pu, whereas after reconfiguration, the voltage profile is 0.92149 pu. Meanwhile, under 100% loading conditions, the voltage profile before reconfiguration is 0.89561 pu, and after reconfiguration, the voltage profile increases to 0.90032 pu. As a result of this voltage improvement, there is a reduction in power losses from 1.1929 MW to 1.0758 MW in the feeder. This research was conducted in the Sigeri feeder located in Pangkep Regency from January to July 2023.
