Abstrak

Indonesia is a tropical region that has enormous solar energy potential with an average daily isolation of 4.5 -4.8 KWh / m² / day. Knowing solar energy is a potential form of renewable energy to be developed. The PLTS systemapplication for village electrification as a mill drive system in shrimp ponds and home lighting is needed by shrimpfarmers to increase shrimp production. In the design of the PLTS it was assumed that the use of electricity in the shrimpponds was to drive the air mill, pond lighting, TV and power supply. The study of the design of solar power generationsystems (PLTS) in rural areas that have not yet been electrified as alternative power plants to support thisenvironmentally friendly and renewable energy program needs to be done and can be used as an example for solarelectricity users, which must and minimum energy basic needs needed before buying PLTS system components. This isdone to avoid purchasing components that do not meet the needs.
