Abstrak

Massaleong Cultural Village, as part of the Rammang-Rammang tourist destination, faces challenges in tourism promotion and management due to limited internet access and the community’s low level of digital literacy. This condition has resulted in cultural potential and local wisdom being less widely exposed, highlighting the need for a digitalization strategy to support community-based tourism promotion. This community service research aims to enhance local capacity in utilizing digital technology to strengthen the image of Massaleong Cultural Village as a leading cultural tourism destination. The method applied was a mixed-method approach, involving needs analysis through focus group discussions (FGD), development of digital infrastructure in the form of a captive portal integrated with the village tourism information system, as well as training in digital literacy, photography, videography, and social media management. The implementation showed positive results, indicated by improved community skills in digital content production and dissemination through various media platforms, including YouTube and Instagram. Documentation of the cultural tradition Maudu Jalloro, packaged into creative content, successfully gained wider audience engagement. These outcomes demonstrate that participatory digitalization can foster sustainable tourism promotion, strengthen local cultural identity, and enhance the competitiveness of Massaleong Cultural Village’s tourism sector.
