Abstrak

This paper aims to design and create a Log-Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna that will work at the midpoint of the 4G frequency (1800 MHz to 2300 MHz) which is 2000 MHz so that it can be implemented in a certain place where the network quality is inadequate. From this design, it is expected to obtain a VSWR below 1.5 and a gain of approximately 7 dBi. The design of this antenna uses the Log-Periodic Dipole Array Calculator web to determine the size and distance of each antenna element according to the desired gain value using the computational method between Sigma (σ) and Tau (τ). For the physical structure, it uses a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) FR4 Epoxy substrate which is simulated in the High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) software and obtains a VSWR value of 1.27 at a frequency of 2000 MHz with a gain of 7.61 dBi. After fabrication, a VSWR of 1.35 was obtained, which is within the acceptable range for use as specified. Therefore, it can be concluded that this antenna is suitable for use.
