KAJI EKSPERIMENTAL SUSTAINABLE MACHINING PADA PROSES PEMBUBUTAN BAJA AISI 1045
Abstrak
Sustainable development will become importance issues for many fields, including production, industry, andmanufacturing. In order to achieve sustainable development, industry should be able to perform of sustainableproduction processes and environmentally friendly. Therefore, there is need to minimize the energy demand in themachining process. This paper presents a calculation method of energy consumption in the machining process, especially turning process which calculated by summing the number of energy consumption, such as the electric energyconsumed during the machining preparation, the electrical energy during the cutting processes, and the electrical energyto produce a cutting tool. A case study was performed on dry turning of AISI 1045 steel using uncoated carbide. Thisapproach can be used to determine the total amount of electrical energy consumed and material removal rate (MRR) inthe specific machining process. It concluded that the energy consumption will be an increase for using the high cuttingspeed as well as for the feed rate was increased.Referensi
