Abstrak

In the last few years we often hear of many buildings that have been damaged or collapse caused by many factorssuch as design errors, overloading, wrong construction method, fire, or earthquakes. Various methods of structuralreinforcement and retrofitting have been developed with the aim of finding the most effective and efficient methods.In this research is used retrofitting method by adding profile steel structure in reinforced concrete beam. This methodis done by adding the WF steel profile to the reinforced concrete beam which will increase the moment of inertia sothat it will improve the ability of the structure to hold the working load. Used steel WF 250.125.6.9, as areinforcement using shear connector. With the addition of this steel profile the beam strength is eligible to withstandthe loads.
