Abstrak

The community service purposes to improve environmental sanitation and hygiene in production process ofwhite fermented rice cake (brem in Bahasa) at Mekarsari Small Medium Enterprises (SME) and to have a hygiene andaesthetic packaging for their products. Factors that cause illness or health problems can be controlled by improvingsanitation hygiene. They are expected, SME Mekarsari produces a good and safe quality brem,. It will give a high valueto the brem products. Furthermore, market demand increases and it impact to improve the people's economy. Thecommunity service program resulted that environmental sanitation and hygiene of brem production process at MekarsariSME increases. SME has an aestethic and hygiene packaging design for their products. However, we could not inform ofthe impact on productivity and profitability obtained by this SME yet.
