Abstrak

Heavy equipment are all kinds of mechanical equipment / aircraft, including attachments and implements, either selfpropelled or towed type or stationary and have more than one kilo-watt of power used for carry out construction work inmining, general industry, agriculture / forestry and / or other fields of work, as long as it is not a direct processing tool.One type of heavy equipment is excavator. In the operation of heavy equipment many things and aspects must beconsidered, starting from the operator's skills and skills, equipment operating procedures, safety aspects (K3) and aspectsof maintenance and troubleshooting. This heavy equipment is a technical equipment that contains a high risk of dangerthat can cause workplace accidents if not handled properly and correctly. One effort to be able to project themselves inthe future is to really understand the condition of East Kalimantan at the moment, what achievements have beenachieved, what problems still continue to accompany, and what strategic issues must really be considered in developmentplanning in the future. This can be done by recording a variety of great potential possessed by East Kalimantan to bedeveloped for the sake of increasing development in the future. Such understanding is captured through sectoral andterritorial approaches and involves active participation from stakeholders in East Kalimantan. Efforts made to resolvethese development problems as described in the previous explanation need to be done through improving the quality ofhuman resources (labor force) to determine the ability of workers to meet the demands of labor specifications from theeconomic sector, namely in the education sector.
