ESTIMASI EMISI GAS RUMAH KACA SEKTOR ENERGI DARI PERMUKIMAN (RESIDENTIAL) DI KABUPATEN KARANGASEM

Abstract

Karangasem Regency, is an area in the eastern part of the island of Bali, which administratively is one of theregencies within the province of Bali. The population of Karangasem Regency in 2016 based on the results of the BPSpopulation projection is 410,800 people. The population growth rate in Karangasem averages 0.88% per year. The areaof Karangasem Regency is 839.54 Km or 14.90% of the area of Bali Province (5,632.86 Km). Of the total area, around7,070 Ha. (8.42%) is rice fields, while non-paddy fields are 76.884 Ha (91.58%). The increasing population, the greaterthe amount of land used for housing / settlements. Increasing settlement will lead to greater use / use of fuel forhousehold activities. Climate change has become a global problem and to overcome it involves various countries andvarious disciplines. Greenhouse gases (GHG) are gases in the atmosphere that function to absorb infrared radiation andhelp determine atmospheric temperature. The response of the Indonesian government in responding to the issue ofclimate change and global warming is contained in the Presidential Regulation Number 61 of 2011 concerning theNational Action Plan for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions (RAN-GRK). Based on the results of the study it can beseen that in Karangasem Regency, the highest GHG emissions are in Karangasem Subdistrict at 48.28 tons CO2-e. Whilethe lowest GHG emissions are in Sidemen sub-district, amounting to 18.74 tons of CO2-e. In this study the number ofcontributors to emissions from the housing sector is from the use of LPG fuel and firewood.
