Abstract

Synthesis, modification and characterization of gold nanoparticles-purple sweet potato extract with a modifier ofPolyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) was successfully carried out. The results showed that qualitatively of gold nanoparticles wereformed based on measurements by UV-Vis Spectroscopy which obtained the maximum wavelength of unmodified purplesweet potato nanoparticles of 544 nm and absorbance of 0.613. While the maximum wavelength of 545 nm in the goldnanoparticles-modified purple sweet potato PVA and absorbance of 0.662.
