PERANCANGAN WELDING FIXTURE RUNNER TURBINE CROSS FLOW DENGAN METODE EVALUASI DESAIN (EVAD)

Abstract

The main thing to consider in improving product competitiveness is the rational aspect of economy and production. Inline with the demand for precision and ease of replacement of workpieces, jig & fixture has a very important meaning.Product evaluation method with design evaluation method (EVAD) is a method of design concept selection with ratingand weighting on the criteria. This method is recommended for evaluating and selecting new product ideas or forconcept selection. The purpose of this research is to design welding fixture assembly of cross flow turbine runnercomponent with EVAD method. The method used is the study of literature, description of the demands, thedetermination of the draft concept, the alternative components, the selection of components, the selection of alternativedesign assembly, final design, and evaluation of the design results. Based on the result of welding fixture assembling ofcross flow turbine component assembly, we have obtained the final design of cross flow turbine welding fixtureassembly with consideration of operational ease, operator safety, low production cost, standard component usage, placedemands, maintenance ease, and durable.
