Abstract
This study aims to: (1)Determine the effect of transformer oil usage on the dielectric characteristics, physical
properties and chemical properties of transformer oil, (2)know the effect of transformer loading level on the
characteristics of dielectric, physical properties and chemical properties of transformer oil, and (3) know the correlation
between the level of loading and the service life of transformer oil.
The results showed that the physical and chemical properties of transformer oil increasingly experienced
deterioration that is the color of the oil became darker, viscosity values experienced an average increase of 0.528Cst per
year, the flash point was lower with an average reduction rate of 4.4827 oC per year, levels the acid gets higher with an
average increase of 0.00137KOH/gram per year, as well as the electrical properties of transformer oil also experience
deterioration namely the penetrating voltage decreases an average of 3.885 kV/cm
properties and chemical properties of transformer oil, (2)know the effect of transformer loading level on the
