Abstract

The operation of a Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) in order to have a long life requires regular maintenance
and checking of damage, periodic checks can be done in daily, weekly, monthly and annual time frames. This study aims
to determine the damage experienced by MHP after operating for one year. The benefits that can be obtained by regularly
analyzing and checking damage from the MHP is to be able to extend the life of the MHP operation. The checking
method is done by measuring the turbine outflow flow, measuring the output generator rotation, observing turbine and
generator rotation noise and measuring generator output voltage and current. The measurement results are then compared
with the commissioner moment, namely when the MHP was first operated. If there is a deviation, an inspection of the
four main parts is carried out, namely on the dam (flow input), on the duct pipe, on the crossflow turbine and on the
generator. The results obtained in this study are a decrease in flow discharge due to fertilization of the pipe line, there is a
decrease and rotation of turbine noise due to bearing wear, the generator is unable to produce voltage and electric current
due to damage to the generator.
