STUDI PERBAIKAN ELEMEN KOLOM STRUKTUR BANGUNAN GEDUNG DENGAN SISTEM KOLOM KOMPOSIT

Abstract

In the last few years we often hear of many buildings that have been damaged or collapse caused by many
factors such as design errors, overloading, wrong construction method, fire, or earthquakes. Various methods of
structural reinforcement and retrofitting have been developed with the aim of finding the most effective and efficient
methods. In this research is used retrofitting method by adding steel plate structure in reinforced concrete column.
This method is done by adding the steel plate to the reinforced concrete column which will increase the moment of
inertia so that it will improve the ability of the structure to hold the working load. In this research used3,2 mm thick of
plate. With the addition of this steel plate the column strength is eligible to withstand the loads.
