PEMANFAATAN LAHAN PEKARANGAN SEMPIT DENGAN TEKNOLOGI HIDROPONIK DALAM RANGKA MENINGKATKAN KETERSEDIAAN DAN KONSUMSI SAYURAN SEHAT BAGI KELUARGA

Abstract


Tamangapa Sub-District is the largest sub-district in Maggala district of Makassar with 24,14 km2 of administrative area.
There are 7 RWs in Tamangapa Sub-Distric but the population in this region is the smallest among the other subdistricts
in Manggala District. In RW 02, there are 534 Households are recorded. Most of the households are located in
three cluster areas that have a narrow yard. This community service program from LP2M Hasanuddin University tried to
increase the availability and consumption of green vegetables for household members in RW 02 by introducing
hydroponic technology to the local community. The household members have been taught to develop some hydroponic
apparatus to grow variety of green vegetables. They also obtained some counseling about nutrition and how to manage a
simple vegetable supply chain among the local community.
