ANALISIS LAMA PENYULINGAN TERHADAP RENDEMEN MINYAK ATSIRI KULIT JERUK PANGKEP (CITRUS MAXIMA) DENGAN METODE BASAH DAN KERING

Abstract


Currently, Entrepreneurs of essential oil are constrained by their low refining rate and low yield. The purpose of
this study was to measure the performance of tube boiler. This kettle tool is made by modifying the bed (sieve) inside the
kettle with a pipe tube that can be assembled. The porous tube serves to assist the heat dissipation of the material and
expand the heat transfer surface. Boiler tube performance compared to regular boiler. The type of distillation used is
water and steam distillation. The observed variation is the distillation method used, ie wet and dry. Size of flavedo
sample wet pamelo 5-7 cm as much as 5 kg, the temperature used is 1400C and pressure 1 atm. The highest yield was
obtained by using dry ketel tube method that is 0.21% and the rate of essential oil formation was 1.44 g / hour.
