RINTISAN DAN PENDAMPINGAN DESA AGROINDUSTRI SEBAGAI DESA MITRA UNIVERSITAS BRAWIJAYA DI KABUPATEN TIMOR TENGAH SELATAN

Abstract


The regency of South Central Timor, East Nusa Tenggara Province holds a million attractiveness potentials
international tourist destination. One sector that needs to be prepared is agro-industry. Lembaga Penelitian dan
Pengabdian kepada Mmasyarakat Universitas Brawijaya (LPPMUB) through Doktor Mengabdi program has been
pioneered Desa Mitra which has the potential and can implement regional potential-based agro-industries. The aim of the
activity is to establish an agro-industrial village namely Noenoni village, Oenino District. Activities are divided:
empowering community assistance through training: (1) simple clean water filter, (2) handling the home industry of
purple sweet potato chips, (3) pioneering batik typical of areas that emphasize coloring, (4) anticipating stunting by
promoting drinking soy milk in early childhood, (5) Brawijaya teaching through Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik, (6)
training in dishwashing soap from waste oil. Based on the evaluation results of the implementation of Doktor Mengabdi
Programs, were obtained: The formation of agro-industry institutions for the processing of agricultural products, batik
craftsmen, home industries basic needs such as washing soap utilizing used oil waste. In addition, the village
government of Noenoni has programmed Dana Desa to continue and develop a village pioneering agro-industry that is
competitive in welcoming the era of international tourism.
