Abstract

Budget constraints and not yet the maximum implementation of development so that there are still settlements
locations that have not been touched or have not yet received adequate drainage system services, besides the lack of
attention of the public using the existing drainage network resulting in physical conditions and network functions
declining or not functioning according to its function, occurred in Lette Sub-District, Mariso Sub-District, Makassar City
which resulted in 16% of the urban area experiencing flooding or inundation in the rainy season and 28% of
infrastructure that was built had poor conditions. Based on the book Profile Slum Settlements of Makassar City, Lette
Village is a slum area that develops in areas of former swamps that greatly affects the environmental drainage system.
Rehabilitation of environmental drainage channels carried out along the 20 m with a volume of 2.94 m3 concrete pairs.
The implementation of the rehabilitation of drainage canals is expected to improve the quality of the environment and the
lives of surrounding communities.
