MODIFIKASI MESIN PEMISAH KULIT POLONG KACANG HIJAU

Abstract


This research aims to improve the efficiency of the work process and the quality of the result of the separation of the
separation of the pods of green beans takes a shorter time than the separation process manually using feet (tramplimg) or
using a machine that was previously made. The method used is experimental study, by doing 3 variations of engine
speed: 200, 400, and 600 rpm, processing time variations: 1, 2, and 3 minutes, in this experiment the mass of processed
mung bean pods was 2 kg. The types of variables obtained by machine performance that provides the most optimal
results.
The results obtained show that at 400 rpm for 2 minutes the process of green beans as much as 2 kg produces the most
optimal separation, namely 57 kg/hour. This can be used as a source of reference for similar machines. The calculation of
production costs for making one unit of green peas separator machine is 4,731,382,-IDR.
The machine of green bean separator has been donated to the community service partners of the "Sipakabaji" green bean
farmer in Bonto Kanang Village, Galesong Selatan District, Takalar Regency on July 21, 2019.
