Abstract

PT. Garuda Maintenance Facility (GMF) Aeroasia Tbk. abbreviated as PT. GMF Aeroasia Tbk., one of PT. PLN (Persero)'s business consumers located in the Soekarno Hatta airport area with a load contract of 7.5 MVA. PT. GMF Aeroasia Tbk. is supplied from two feeders, namely the Garuda 1 (main) and Garuda 2 (backup) feeders from the Cengkareng Substation (GI) through a 20 kV medium voltage distribution network. Based on data in 2023-2024, PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Teluk Naga, the feeder that supplies to PT. GMF Aeroasia Tbk. has experienced disruptions 2-3 times each year. This allows the protection equipment not to work properly which can reduce the reliability of the network. The purpose of this study is to obtain the results of protection coordination between the incoming side of the delivery line and the outgoing side of the substation transformer serving PT.GMF Aeroasia Tbk, and to obtain the incoming and outgoing protection setting values ​​on the substation and feeder transformers serving PT.GMF Aeroasia Tbk., through the calculation of relay setting values, simulation and analysis of coordination and maneuvering of the protection system against the outgoing side of the load and the outgoing side of the GI. The results of this study indicate that the setting value of the over current relay (OCR) protection on the outgoing side of the load I_set = 304 A, TMS = 0.13 s is greater than the setting value on the incoming side of the GI, namely I_set = 280.5 A, TMS = 0.1 s. Furthermore, the existing setting value of the OCR protection on the outgoing side of the load is 304 A and the setting value on the incoming side of the GI is 280.5 A, after resetting the OCR protection on the outgoing side of the load is 237.6 A, TMS 0.8 s and the setting value on the incoming side of the GI is 280.5 A TMS 1 s. The impact of the 20 kV system maneuver on relay protection coordination due to OCR disturbances on the incoming and outgoing sides still backing each other up on both feeder sides 1 and 2
