PENDIDIKAN LINGKUNGAN SISWA SMA DALAM CERPEN KORAN KOMPAS: PENDEKATAN EKOKRITIK

Abstract


The purpose of the study was to examine the 2013 curriculum of secondary high school curriculum relating to
short story teaching and explore the phenomenon of environmental education in short stories as revealed in Kompas. This
research is a qualitative research. The data source of this research is six short stories published in Kompas in 2018. Data
acquired through survey reading, focus reading, and verification reading. The research period was January to October
2018. The data obtained are transcribed and analyzed based on content analysis with reference to Garrard's ecocritical
approach. The results of the study showed that the short stories studied were used as an enrichment of teaching materials
in secondary high schools, especially the core competencies and basic competencies of Indonesian high school/vocational
high school /class XI about KD 3.8, 3.9 and 4.8, 4.9. The content of competence in Indonesian language learning in
secondary high school is that students have honesty, responsible, caring and responsive behaviors in using Indonesian
dealing with natural phenomena. Short stories contain things related to natural phenomena, namely: pollution,
wilderness, natural disasters, settlements, and living things.
