PERANCANGAN APLIKASI UNTUK MENENTUKAN JENIS TANAH PADA LAHAN PERTANIAN

Abstract

The selection of agricultural land in Indonesia, in general, is carried out by farmers alone without taking intoaccount the suitability of the land with the plants that will be applied. This can result in reduced yields. Classification ofsoil types can also be done by analyzing measurement results from the Cone Penetration Test (CPT). However, CPT usesspecial equipment that will be difficult for farmers to hold. In addition to using special equipment, there are proceduresthat must be obeyed by those who will do CPT. Based on the problems that have been described, an application will bedesigned that can determine the type of soil on agricultural land. Image of land on agricultural land will be processedusing Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM). With GLCM, feature extraction can be done on the ground image, sothat the type of soil can be determined from the image. The results obtained are in the form of application design that canperform feature extraction on the ground image using the GLCM method.
