Abstract

The purpose of this study is to map the performance of signal transmission to radio interference that occurs in
cellular frequency bands (800 MHz - 2,1 GHz). Signal transmission performance is influenced by various variables,
including air humidity, rainfall, weather, wind vortex, solar radiation, and physical barriers such as trees, buildings,
mountains, hills, and so on. The way of radio communication on cellular bands is line of sight (LOS) where the
transmitter and receiver towers 'see' each other which there is no physical barrier between radio transmitters and receivers.
Monitoring of radio interference will be carried out in the area of Makassar City. This research method is to measure
bandwidth in cellular frequency bands in the range of 800 MHz to 2.1 GHz. Bandwidth measurement consist of
necessary bandwidth and occupied bandwidth. The results of the study showed cellular signal performance that was
interfered and was not interfered. Disturbances generally come from other transmitter radio interference. Summary of
measurement results data is applied using the xxam application. Measurement results include radio interference data from
2014 to 2016.
