Abstract

The interest of the Indonesian people to seek employment opportunities abroad continues to increase even
though there are often many problems faced, this is triggered by the difficulty of finding job opportunities in the country
and the high wages received if they become migrant workers (PMI). In order to provide protection to PMI, the
Indonesian government is obliged to provide PMI information systems in accordance with the mandate of the Act. This
study aims to determine the extent to which the information system developed by the Indonesian government can fulfill
aspects of protection for PMI and its integrated development strategy. This research is qualitative by taking sample data
in several regions sending the most PMI. The results of the study illustrate that there are still many weaknesses of
information systems that have been developed by Indonesian government institutions due to the difficulty of building an
integrated information system, so that the main strategy that must be implemented is to coordinate between relevant
institutions / agencies in order to build an integrated PMI information system.
