Abstract


Solar Water Heater (SWH) testing is carried out using test equipment where sometimes the test equipment is
used or traded in different areas where each region has an angle of arrival of sunlight which of course varies depending
on its position. This difference in position in each region causes the required SWH test model that can be changed from
the collector's tilt angle to be able to face the perpendicular sun which is the purpose of this study. The research benefits
in addition to the test equipment can be used in different locations of the region can also be used for research with
collector slope variations. The method used is the design and design of SWH test equipment which is able to vary the
collector tilt angle, the analysis is carried out by giving the variable freedom of motion in the form of a hinge that is able
to rotate and swell with the amount as needed. The results obtained are the SWH system using three hinges, namely two
fixed hinges and one hinge capable of sliding and sliding rod, the amount of slope angle that can be achieved is 0Ⱐ≤ α ≤
75,65â°.
