Abstract


Separation of seeds with fruit juice is done in a blender, the results of which are still mixed between the seeds
and the juice and the seeds are crushed so they must be filtered again after being bended. Whereas for cooking and
stirring the fruit juice is still done traditionally, so the cooking temperature cannot be controlled and the stirring results
are not evenly mixed. Tonasa Village, Tombolopao District, Gowa Regency is a potential area for passion fruit
cultivation because the environment is relatively suitable. The superiority of the region is one of the considerations for
the selection of the region as the object / target of the research on making Passion Fruit Syrup. The purpose of this study
was to design and make passion fruit processing machines into syrup, so that the capacity and quality of production of
passion fruit syrups increased. The implementation phase of the research begins with designing tools, making tools and
testing tools. Mixing machine and passion fruit fruit juice produced are 600 mm long x 450 mm x height 1250 mm,
motor power 686 Watts or 1 HP and cutting shaft diameter 2.5 cm, and production capacity of 40 liters / 20 minutes.
