STUDI KAPASITAS TAMPUNGAN WADUK NIPA-NIPA SEBAGAI UPAYA PENANGGULANGAN BANJIR KOTA MAKASSAR

Abstract


The Nipa Nipa Reservoir is located in the central part of the Tallo River watershed and is disrupted by the
meeting of two Rivers, namely the Malarangang River and Tallo Hulu River. The problem of flooding and drainage of
Makassar City is still the agenda of the Makassar City government that must be resolved. To cope with flooding in the
city of Makassar, Pampang Reservoir has been built and is currently in the process of development to overcome flooding
in the Tallo Watershed namely Nipa-Nipa Reservoir. This nipa-nipa reservoir will divert the water discharge from the
Tallo River.
This study aims to (1) calculate the storage capacity of the Nipa-Nipa reservoir, (2) Analyze the flood
hydrograph. The target to be achieved in this study is that the Regulatory Pool is expected to reduce the flood peak so
that it can reduce the occurrence of floods that often occur in the downstream river sections.
This research method is research and development by conducting data analysis and evaluation of reservoir
reservoirs. Analysis review refers to SNI 03-2415-1991 concerning Flood Debit Calculation Method and SNI 03-2830-
1992 concerning Water Level Calculation Method. The results of this analysis in order to support flood control and
support sustainable development.
