PENENTUAN KESETIMBANGAN AIR (WATER BALANCE) DI DAERAH IRIGASI KELARA-KARALLOE KABUPATEN JENEPONTO

Abstract

The long-term objective of this study is to study water balance in the Kelara-Karalloe Irrigation Area, with aspecific target of how to provide solutions so that the distribution of water can be distributed to all irrigation areascovering ± 10,000 Ha. The most fundamental advantage in determining water balance in the Kelara-Karalloe IrrigationArea in Jeneponto Regency is that it is possible to fulfill the water needs for various farming purposes, the capacity ofwater for irrigation must be given in the right amount, time and quality.This research method begins with the collection of secondary data and primary data collection. Next, a fieldsurvey and measurement of Kelara and Karalloe river discharge were carried out. Discharge measurement is done byusing a current meter tool to get instantaneous debit data used to match the recorded debit data from secondary data.Furthermore, data analysis is conducted to find out the availability of water in the river is used as a basis fordetermining water balance in the Kelara-Karalloe Irrigation Area abstract should be written in English with Times NewRoman, font 10, single space.
