PENENTUAN KESETIMBANGAN AIR (WATER BALANCE) DI DAERAH IRIGASI KELARA-KARALLOE KABUPATEN JENEPONTO

Abstract


The long-term objective of this study is to study water balance in the Kelara-Karalloe Irrigation Area, with a
specific target of how to provide solutions so that the distribution of water can be distributed to all irrigation areas
covering ± 10,000 Ha. The most fundamental advantage in determining water balance in the Kelara-Karalloe Irrigation
Area in Jeneponto Regency is that it is possible to fulfill the water needs for various farming purposes, the capacity of
water for irrigation must be given in the right amount, time and quality.
This research method begins with the collection of secondary data and primary data collection. Next, a field
survey and measurement of Kelara and Karalloe river discharge were carried out. Discharge measurement is done by
using a current meter tool to get instantaneous debit data used to match the recorded debit data from secondary data.
Furthermore, data analysis is conducted to find out the availability of water in the river is used as a basis for
determining water balance in the Kelara-Karalloe Irrigation Area abstract should be written in English with Times New
Roman, font 10, single space. Keywords should be included at the end of abstract. The number of words is about 120 to
150 words. The abstract should consists of brief description of the purpose(s), significance/benefit(s), method(s), and
result(s) of the research or community dedication.
