Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which the effect of sludge on the aggregate on the performance of ACWC
can provide benefits when using aggregate in the field later.
This study uses coarse aggregates containing >1% sludge which is expected to improve the stability of asphalt
concrete mixtures. This study aims to determine the Marshall characteristics of asphalt concrete mixtures using sludgecontaining
aggregates. This study uses an experimental method which is an experiment to get results, thus it will be seen
the effect of the sludge content on the aggregate. In this research, four types of sludge variation are contained in the
aggregate itself, which is 0% (aggregate scraping), 1.48% (aggregate washing 1-2), 3.24% (0.5-1 aggregate scraping). )
and 4.72% (no aggregate at all) to determine the characteristics with increasing sludge levels.
The results showed that the value of stability has decreased with increasing sludge levels, as well as VIM and VMA
values. In addition, an increase in sludge increases VFB values and density.
