Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to enhance the memorization of Juz 30 among the students of Taman Pendidikan al-Qur’an (TPQ) Istiqlal Bu’rung-Bu’rung in Desa Pattallassang, Gowa District, through an effective mentoring process. The program employed two primary methods: Kitabah and Takrir, which focus on writing and repetition, respectively. The evaluation of students’ progress revealed significant improvements in their memorization, with 83% of students showing increased numbers of surahs memorized. Despite the overall success, some students faced challenges in memorization fluency, although the number of surahs they could memorize still improved. The results suggest that the methods used were effective but indicate the need for more personalized approaches for students facing difficulties. The program demonstrated the importance of structured mentoring and evaluation to ensure continuous progress in Quranic memorization
