PEMBUATAN BIOETANOL MELALUI FERMENTASI AIR CUCIAN BERAS BERDASARKAN VARIASI MASSA DAN KONSENTRASI NUTRISI
Abstrak
Currently, fossil fuels are the primary energy source for Indonesia and even the world. Gasoline, natural gas, and coal are examples of fossil fuels. This is due to population growth amidst declining energy reserves in Indonesia and around the world. The government is currently promoting bioethanol production as an alternative energy source. Rice washing water can be used as a raw material for making bioethanol. This research aims to study the effect of nutrient type on the bioethanol content produced from rice washing water. The process involves two stages: starch hydrolysis using 1N HCl (pH 4-5) and 1% v/v glucoamylase enzyme to convert carbohydrates into glucose, followed by fermentation using Saccharomyces cerevisiae for 3 days. The results of this study indicate that the type of nutrient added and the mass of the nutrient added affect the fermentation process. In the tofu dregs nutrient variation, the highest bioethanol content was 64.60% with a mass of 10 grams, and the lowest content was 0.60% with a mass of 4 grams. Meanwhile, for NPK nutrition, the highest bioethanol content is 17.09% with a mass of 10 grams, and the lowest content is 0.60% with a mass of 6 grams.Unduhan
