DIGITALISASI PERPUSTAKAAN BERBASIS MS ACCESS 2021 PADA UPTD SDN 37 DAN UPTD SDN 15 KOTAMADYA PAREPARE
Abstract
The main problem faced by the partners, namely UPTD SDN 37 and UPTD SDN 15 Parepare, lies in the library management system, which is still operated manually. This condition creates various obstacles, such as slow book and borrower data searches, difficulties in generating reports, potential data loss, and inaccuracies in collection administration. The Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to improve the efficiency and quality of library services through the development and implementation of a database system using Microsoft Access. The resulting system is able to support the processes of recording collections, members, borrowing and returning transactions, as well as reporting in a faster, more accurate, and organized manner. The activity methods include several stages:1) Field surveys to obtain the necessary information for system development; 2) Database system design; 3) Meetings with partners via Zoom during the system development process;4) Simulation and system testing with partners via Zoom;5) Visits to the partners’ location for system handover and usage assistance;6) System implementation on school library computers; 7) Monitoring and evaluation of system usage. The outcomes include the availability of a Microsoft Access–based library application that has been handed over and socialized to partner schools, improved skills of library staff in digital data management, as well as supporting outputs in the form of a scientific article, copyright, activity video, and final report. With this innovation, school libraries are expected to play a more optimal role in supporting the teaching and learning process.Downloads
