PENGEMBANGAN ROBOT REHABILITASI LENGAN BEGI PENDERITA STROKE BERBASIS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DAN INTERNET OF THINGS
Abstract
This study aims to develop an arm rehabilitation robot for stroke patients based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). The designed system enables the robot to perform rehabilitation exercises automatically, based on patient condition data collected and analyzed using AI. The system development process involves several key stages. First, the AI algorithm is enhanced to ensure that patient data analysis becomes more accurate and relevant to rehabilitation needs. Second, IoT integration is applied to support remote control via a smartphone application, facilitating user operation in various locations. Third, the system is equipped with real-time rehabilitation data storage using Firebase, enabling more structured and secure data management. Additionally, the robot's mechanical design is upgraded with linear motors and sturdier mechanical components, allowing the robot to withstand loads of up to 90 kg. The research results show that this robot can provide personalized exercises tailored to the patient's physical condition. The IoT implementation also expands system accessibility, making robot monitoring and control more efficient and cost-effective. Thus, the system is expected to improve the quality of rehabilitation services for stroke patients in various situations.
