RANCANG BANGUN TANGKI SEPTIK PONDOK PESANTREN YAYASAN DAARUL IHSAN DESA SALENRANG KECAMATAN BONTOA KABUPATEN MAROS

Abstract

The Daarul Ihsan Salenrang Islamic boarding school is located in Salenrang Village, Bontoa District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi Province, approximately 47.2 km from Makassar City. The boarding school partners face a primary challenge: the capacity of the existing dormitory does not match the number of male and female students. To address this issue, they plan to construct a special dormitory for students on a plot of land measuring 18m x 21m, located 100 meters from the current site. Construction began in early 2023 but has not yet been completed, including the septic tank, due to limited funding. The aimed of this activity is to design the dimensions and build a concrete septic tank at the Daarul Ihsan male dormitory. The implementation method included designing the septic tank dimensions, measuring, and digging. Subsequently, materials were procured with a volume ratio of 1 cement: 2 sand: 3 gravel. The following processes included mixing, pouring concrete, compacting, curing the concrete, and finishing. The result of this community service project was a concrete septic tank with dimensions of 3200 mm in length, 1600 mm in width, and 1700 mm in depth. The partners gained practical knowledge about the methods for constructing concrete septic tanks. Key words: Dimensions, Septic Tank, Concrete
