Abstract

Organic waste can be utilized into something valuable and support the community economy, especially for the PWGT ladies in Mengkendek District, Tana Toraja Regency, who generally work as farmers. Our Community Service Activity (PKM) team looked at them who have a role in maintaining environmental cleanliness from organic household waste by providing counseling, training and supporting facilities in order to process household organic solid waste into compost. This activity was intended to reduce waste, educate, increase skills and provide economic value for the welfare of their community. As a result, this community can empower existing potential, become more knowledgeable and can apply organic waste processing wisely. The results of the community evaluation before and after joining the training were carried out and showed a 90% increase in terms of knowledge and skills in producing compost.
