Abstract

This activity was conducted in Pucak Village, Tompobulu Subdistrict, Maros Regency, with the aim of enhancing farmers' knowledge and skills in producing feed using local materials and reducing dependence on expensive commercial feed. The goat feed produced has the potential to increase the body weight of goats. The process involved several stages, including sample collection in Pucak Village, drying, feed formulation, and analysis. The analysis measured protein content, fat content, fiber content, and ash content. The feed formulation, based on local ingredients, included a combination of Indigofera plants, Azolla plants, and shrimp head waste in specific proportions. For example, F2 formulation contained 10 g of each component and resulted in a fat content of 9.7%, fiber content of 17.8%, protein content of 28.31%, and ash content of 7.64%. The results of this community service activity indicated that the ash content of the feed exceeded the maximum standard quality threshold of 9%. Keywords: Etawa Goat, Animal Feed, Indigofera, azolla and shrimp head waste.
