PENINGKATAN FASILITAS SANITASI SEKOLAH PADA MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH MUHAMMADIYAH LEMPANGANG PANCIRO

Abstract

Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Lempangang is a junior high school located in Panciro village, Bajeng sub- district, Gowa district. The school accommodates 258 students consisting of 150 male students and 108 female students. The number of students is not proportional to the sanitation facilities in the form of student toilets where there are only 3 toilets with 1 for teachers and staff, 1 for male students, and 1 for female students. The condition of the two student toilets is not feasible in capacity and does not meet hygienic standards. The male toilet in the worst condition compared to the female toilet. There is some damage to the walls, roof, floor only in the form of cement floor, and no toilet door, makeshift lighting, no squat toilet and only toilet for urinating, and no clean water installation facilities. The JTS PNUP service team aims to renovate the male students' toilet to make it decent and hygienic by repairing all existing damage. The results of this service are adding a layer of tiles on the walls, layer of tiles on the floor, installing lighting installations in the toilet, making water pipe network installations, sewage installations, installing squat toilets, and sewers connected to septic tanks.
