PELATIHAN PENGOLAHAN JAGUNG UNTUK MENUMBUHKAN JIWA KEWIRAUSAHAAN GUNA MENINGKATKAN PENDAPATAN MASYARAKAT DI DESA TOMPOBULU KABUPATEN MAROS
Abstract
Tompobulu village has considerable corn-producing potential. The corn harvest is abundant and is only sold in wet and dry form, with no processing to make it into new products that can add economic value to the community. This condition is due to the low knowledge of the community on how to process corn and the lack of information on the nutritional value of corn. The method used was in the form of counseling, practice, and mentoring on how to process corn into processed food such as corn sticks, which are very popular corn preparations today. The purpose of PPDM is to educate and train villagers to make processed food from corn, especially for housewives and young women, and motivate the community with the skills obtained can be used as capital or provision to open a small business or entrepreneurship. The expected outcomes of this activity are a) Community skills in processing corn into various food products; b) Creation of community understanding of the importance of entrepreneurship; c) Creating business opportunities for the community; d) Food products that are ready to be marketed; and e) Increased community income. The results obtained during this activity show that the community understands the great benefits of corn commodities as well as increasing community creativity in product processing and understanding the importance of entrepreneurship.
