Abstract

This research is done by the addition of plastic bag (PB) to the characteristics of rice husk (RH) as fuel inpower plant. Testing of rice husk characteristics was done by adding plastic bag material in rice husk material about10% and 30%. Further proximate and ultimate analysis and Thermografimetrik test at temperature from 30 - 800â°C,10â°C / min heating rate range, nitrogen flow rate about 50 ml / min. The dehydration process takes place at atemperature of 40 - 100â°C, while for thermal degradation processes occurs at a temperature of 200 - 340â°C, 400-500â°C,and 580 - 670â°C. The activation energy and heating values of R9P1 and R7P3 increased significantly with the additionof PB about 10% and 30%. It was concluded that the addition of PB and RH in the co-pyrolysis process showed betterimprovement in the characteristics of rice husk fuel compared to the original state.
