ANALISIS PERUBAHAN ARUS EKSITASI BERDASARKAN SUDUT PENYALAAN THYRISTOR PADA GENERATOR ULPLTA BILI-BILI
Abstract
The excitation system is the process of strengthening the magnetic field by providing direct current to the field winding contained in the rotor. So a generator can produce electrical energy with a large output voltage depending on the magnitude of the excitation current. The purpose of this study is to analyze the modeling of the generator excitation system circuit at the Bili-Bili ULPLTA using Simulink Matlab so that it can see the effect of the thyristor angle opening on the excitation current and generator voltage output. The calculation results obtained, the value of the ignition angle of the thyristor is S4.80. When the thyristor ignition angle value is simulated, the excitation voltage value is 35.59 V, the excitation current is 7.117 A and the generator output voltage that exceeds the normal voltage is 6.627 kV. Based on the simulation results of the angle range test, the thyristor ignition angle value works at 84° to 85° to get an output voltage of about 6.6 kV.References
