Abstract

Improvement of shrimp farming can be done by making aeration system in pond area. This aeration system is intendedas a tool for the addition of air in water while increasing oxygen levels with considerable volume. The influencingfactors in the aeration system is the regulation of flow direction and air velocity on the paddle wheel system, andmechanization of rotation settings on the paddle wheel, as well as the ability of the propulsion energy source. Byconsideration the economic factors and business in driving energy diversification, a paddle wheel aerator tool is utilizedsolar panels as an energy source. The paddle has the ability to produce oxygen levels and it is wiser in the utilization ofnatural energy. Floating aerator design with solar panels consists of electrical systems with charging patterns using solarpower plants, and mechanical systems that consider the frame structure of the solar panel holder based on the size andweight of the solar panels, the electric motor holder made sturdy and lightweight, and the ability to withstand vibrations. The tool feasibility test includes an aerator balance test under floating conditions taking into account the capacity of thebattery in aerator operation under paddle wheel load conditions and without constant spinning load and the paddle wheelblade is immersed in 7 cm depth water. The use of solar powered aerators has not been developed and is a novelty insolar panel applications on aerators. The solar-powered floating paddle wheel generator has a fittings structure with aunit that supports 300Wp solar module frame structure using a 48V / 350W BLDC electric motor as a paddle wheeldrive can work for 145 minutes until the battery state of charger (SoC) capacity reaches 58.7% during operation aerationof 110 cm and a height of 55 cm.
