STUDI PEMILIHAN MODA ANGKUTAN UMUM UNTUK MAHASISWA JURUSAN TEKNIK SIPIL POLITEKNIK NEGERI UJUNG PANDANG
Abstract
To overcome the increasingly severe congestion, it is necessary an effort to plan a good transportation system.
One effort that can be done is to maximize the planning of public transport, be it urban or busway transportation.
Students as users of private vehicles, especially large motorcycles, is an important element that needs to be studied in
maximizing the planning of public transport. This study examines the elements of students, especially students majoring
in Civil Engineering State Polytechnic Ujung Pandang. The research was conducted by designing questionnaire based
on stated preferences which consisted of the selection of student modes, where the modes reviewed were private vehicle
mode, municipal transport mode and busway mode. The results obtained showed that some students who use private
vehicles still prefer to keep using private vehicles, although the level of public transport service has been improved.
