SISTEM KIOSK INTERAKTIF BUKU TAMU PADA KANTOR KPU KOTA MAKASSAR

Abstract

Visitor registration at the Makassar City Election Commission (KPU) Office was previously carried out manually using a guest book, resulting in less optimal processes for recording, searching, and managing visit data. This study aims to design and develop an Interactive Guest Book Kiosk System as a digital visitor registration medium and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the visitor registration process. The system was developed using the Waterfall method as a web-based application using the Laravel framework, PHP programming language, MySQL database, and Bootstrap to support the user interface. The system is equipped with a face recognition feature to identify returning and new visitors, photo capture for visit documentation, recording of visitor data and service status, guest data management, and visit reports. The system was implemented using a client-server architecture on a Local Area Network (LAN), enabling the kiosk device, employee computers, and server to connect and access data centrally. System testing was conducted using Black Box Testing, user interface testing, hardware testing, local network testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The test results show that the main functions of the system operate according to the design, while the hardware and network support system operation. Based on UAT involving 15 respondents using a Likert scale, the user acceptance level reached 90.51%, which falls into the Very Good category. Therefore, the Interactive Guest Book Kiosk System can be used as a digital visitor registration medium at the Makassar City KPU Office.
